I bought a used multi-effector "ZOOM 505Ⅱ guitar" at a second-hand shop. It was my first time buying an effector. This multi-effector seems to be an old one, but it feels very good.

It was very cheap and old, but the sound was much better than my own hand made max effect, so I thought the products on the market is very good.

I used handmade arduino synth
as the sound source and passed through the effector.

The arduino synth is a simple 2-3 operator mono fm synth.

A small synth with a simple oscillator and a multi-effects combination might be great for noise improvisation. This configuration is small and simple as a system.

Reinforcing the complex sound and richness with effects, the oscillator part may be simple and straightforward.

Bringing sonic complexity and richness to an oscillator can complicate its operation.

Bringing simplicity of operation to the oscillators may simplify the sound.

Adding complexity to a simple operation may consolidate the operation and make it less intuitive.

It was difficult to express the complexity of the sound with the oscillator and the synthesis part, but the sound improved to some extent with the effector, so I wanted to create a simple synthesis.

Even a simple sound source has become better, so I feel like I can use various things.

I feel that the beep sound is difficult. Even if the shape of the waveform is different, the sound tends to be relatively similar, and it is difficult to express the difference with a beep sound. A beep is a simple continuous sound nuance with a single oscillator and no envelope.

Envelopes, unisons, continuous changes in waveforms, modulations, and filters add complexity and organicity to the sound. On the one hand it stays away from the beep.

Perhaps envelopes, filters, unison, modulation, waveform changes, etc. are the domain of synthesis. if you try to express the organicity of sound in the domain of synthesis, it will be complicated but if you express simplicity, it tend to be a beep sound.

I felt that the multi-effector could output a complex and organic sound even with a simple beep sound.
It's a very good idea to divide the complexity and organicity into effects, and express synthesis as something simple. Synthesis can be pursued as a simple beep.

Because of the monotonous sound, there are methods that are out of options. they may be put to good use.
